About Crescent Montessori School

About our School

The school year 2011–2012 marks the seventeenth year for Crescent Montessori School.  Formerly Vintage Country Day School, which was founded by a group of parents in 1983, the school changed hands in 1994 when Karin Niehoff, head teacher, became owner and head of school. Crescent Montessori School continues the tradition of offering a quality Montessori program for children ages 2–5 in the Primary Class, ages 5–7 in the Junior Elementary Class, and 8–12 in the Senior Elementary Class. Our connection to the community is lasting and strong thanks to the many families whose children have started their school years in our lovely classrooms at the Sonoma Community Center. As we continue to grow, a grade level is added each year.
